EXPERTISE
EXPERTISE
Everybody, Always.

Based on the book by Bob Goff, "Everybody, Always" is my program that I use for my students to be present,  feel connected and be a contributor and receiver of education.

Armenian Medical Missions

Armenia missions kind of have a theme....Bring everything you can: Pharma Company Samples, Blood Pressure Cuffs, Glucose Testing, Reading Material, Supplies to teach a healthy lifestyle. Come back with emptiness....empty luggage, obviously, but also an internal emptiness, an achy feeling of something that is missing. As if a part of you was also left behind.  As if you could have done more...

I have educated 4 villages in Armenia on Blood Pressure, Cholesterol and Diet Regulation; I have assisted in treating over 200 patients. What they have given me is what I knew to be true but I needed a reminder: Joy in the simplest of forms...running water, laughter, eating a meal among cows, kindness of not having a lot, but sharing what you do have. Pure Joy.

E.O Wilson's Half Earth Project.

We are so lucky that "the ant guy" has contributed to Science for nearly 80 years. Losing his eyesight in one eye due to a fishing accident, he was able to be ultra focused on small objects with the other. The worlds youngest and longest serving myrmecologist, naturalist, and social-biologist,  E.O. Wilson celebrated his 91st birthday in June of 2020.  Today he is the founder of the Half Earth Project and his conservatory in which online lessons are available for teachers and students alike. Dr. Wilson has been an inspiration to me since 1990 when I was fortunate to hear him speak at the University of New Orleans on Earth Day---before I knew what Earth Day really was.

Thank you for your lifetime contributions in Sociobiology, Entomology, Ecology and Human Kindness.  RIP 12/26/2001
